After defeating Illinois and Wisconsin this past week, where does Iowa women's basketball rank in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll?
IOWA CITY — After a pair of losses, Iowa men's basketball moved further away from the Top 25 in the most recent Associated Press poll released Feb. 16. The Hawkeyes previously received 69 voting points, making them the second team outside of the Top 25, but are now no longer receiving votes.
Iowa State women's basketball heads into the postseason unranked. The Cyclones fell out of the most recent USA TODAY coaches poll, which was released March 3. Iowa State was previously ranked No. 25, but it went 1-1 last week, with a home loss to Oklahoma State and a road win at Kansas State.
The Hawkeyes (24-5, 15-3 in Big Ten play) ended the regular season on a six-game winning streak. They took care of business against Illinois at Carver-Hawkeye Arena last Thursday and capped the regular season with an 81-52 win at Wisconsin on Sunday. Iowa remained at No. 9 in the new AP Top 25 this week.
